Chad Gutner joined Samuel Financial LLC in 2011 and is responsible for the management of retirement plan and select wealth management clients. Chad brings to Samuel Financial more than a decade of experience in the financial services industry, including advisory work on qualified and nonqualified plans, financial planning, and individual wealth management services. In addition to providing advisory services to clients, Chad is a frequent speaker at professional and private industry conferences, sharing his expertise on complex retirement plan issues.
Prior to joining Samuel Financial, Chad held positions at John Hancock, Wealth Management Group LLC, and Commonwealth Financial Network® as a consultant to retirement plans and wealth management clients. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) Designee. He earned his BA in community development and applied economics from the University of Vermont. He maintains the FINRA Series 6, 7, 63, and 66 securities registrations as an Investment Adviser Representative of Commonwealth and holds Life & Health Insurance licenses in Massachusetts.
Chad lives in Inman Square in Somerville, Massachusetts, with his wife, Kelly, and children, Hazel and Crosby.
