Chad W. Gutner, CFP®, AIF®

Chad Gutner joined Samuel Financial LLC in 2011 and is a partner in the firm. He is responsible for the management of the firm’s retirement plan consulting business and serves as wealth management advisor to individual clients. Chad brings to Samuel Financial more than 19 years of experience in the financial services industry, including 14 years providing direct advisory services to clients. Chad is a frequent speaker at industry conferences where he shares his expertise about bettering retirement plan experiences and outcomes for employers and their participants. Chad was named one of the top 50 retirement plan advisors in the country under 40 years of age by the National Association of Plan Advisors* in 2014 and 2015 and as one of the Nation’s Top 401(k) advisors in 2018 and 2019 by the Financial Times. 

Prior to joining Samuel Financial, Chad held positions at John Hancock, Wealth Management Group LLC, and Commonwealth Financial Network.  He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designee. He earned his BA in community development and applied economics from the University of Vermont. He maintains the Series 6, 7, 63, and 66 securities registrations as an Investment Adviser Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network, and holds Life & Health Insurance licenses in Massachusetts, New York and Maine.

Chad resides in Cohasset, MA with his wife, Kelly, and his children Crosby and Hazel.
